This is an official ODERSA website. Here’s how you know

The official domain

The address of this site ends in odersa.org. Every service the association runs sits on a subdomain of odersa.org and nowhere else. If the address in your browser’s address bar does not end in odersa.org, this site is not ours.

Free, and no account

Everything is open straight away. No sign-up, no account, no password, no subscription, no advertising. Nothing is held back for those who pay, because there is nothing to pay for.

No data collected

This site does not follow you: no tracker, no tracking cookie, no measurement tool built into these pages, and nothing measured on your device. Our host counts requests in aggregate, as any server that answers does: a total, never a profile. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and reload the page. You will see the full list of what the site asks for. Everything comes from odersa.org, nothing goes anywhere else.

Free to reuse

The content is published under the CC BY 4.0 licence. You may copy it, translate it, print it and pass it on, for your classes as much as for the people around you, on one condition only: credit ODERSA.

The service log

What’s new

This page lists what has just entered this site: a blog article, a trap added to the catalogue, a calculator added to the tools. It is not maintained by hand: it is rebuilt from the content itself, at every release.

How this page is written

A timeline nobody maintains by hand

Nobody drafts this page. No agent, no member of the service comes and adds a line to announce that a piece of content has arrived. It is the site generator that composes it, at every build, by reading directly the files that carry the content.

Every line comes from a file that carries its own publication date: a blog article, a page from the catalogue of traps, a tool from the calculators. The generator shows exactly that date. If the date does not change, the line does not move, even if the text of the page has been reworked in the meantime.

A line is never added to make up the numbers: it exists because a dated file exists.

These dates are copied nowhere. They come from the articles published on the blog, carried over into /en/feed.xml, and from the open files /data/pieges.json and /data/calculateurs.json. No account, no key: you open them like any other page on this site.

Recomposed at every build

The timeline

Most recent first. Every line carries a date, a family (“Article”, “Trap” or “Calculator”) and a direct link to the page concerned. If nothing appears here, it means no dated content has arrived yet: the page says so plainly, rather than inventing an event.

What counts as an event

Three families, each with its date

  • An article published on the blog. The blog develops an idea; here, only its publication date counts. There are 0 of them to date: as long as that number is zero, no line of this family can appear above.
  • A trap added to the catalogue. The catalogue carries the detail of the 6 pages; here, only the arrival of a page counts.
  • A calculator added to the tools. The calculators carry the 5 tools themselves; here, only the moment each one went live counts.

Those three families, and only those, carry a date the generator knows how to read. A page that carries none never appears here, however important it is.

What does not get in here

What this timeline does not show

  • One more word in the glossary, one more module for a country, one more figure in the sources. The glossary, Your country and The sources grow as well, but those additions do not carry the kind of date this page counts.
  • A small correction. A typo fixed, a link repaired, a sentence reworded to be clearer: that creates no line, as long as the publication date of the content does not itself change.
  • An incident or a technical version. This page records neither an outage nor a change in the code that runs the site. It shows only what the course has gained in content.

Content up to date as of .
