Licence and reuse
This service publishes under a licence that allows you to copy, translate, print, redistribute and modify its content, including for commercial use. Here is the exact licence, how to credit ODERSA, and what it does not cover.
What you can do
The content of this service is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may copy, translate, print, redistribute and modify this content, including for commercial use, without asking us for permission.
One condition only: credit ODERSA. The next section shows how, for the three most common cases. The illustrations are not under that licence: see below.
How to credit us
Three wordings ready to copy, one per medium. Only the title of the content you have taken changes.
- In print: “Title of the content, ODERSA, money.odersa.org, CC BY 4.0.”
- On a web page: “Title of the page, ODERSA, money.odersa.org, CC BY 4.0.”
- For a translation: “Title of the page, ODERSA, translated from the French, translation not validated by ODERSA, money.odersa.org, CC BY 4.0.”
What is not covered
Here are the elements that stay outside this licence.
- The seal and the visual identity of ODERSA, which are not to be used in a way that suggests approval or partnership.
- The typefaces embedded in the site, under their own licence.
- The illustrations. None of them is covered by this site’s licence: each carries its own, written under the image and repeated in the table on the Credits page. Most are in the public domain and require nothing. Those under a Creative Commons licence are reused with their credit and the link to that licence; some of them add one condition, share-alike: if you republish the image modified, cropped or retouched, your version of the image must stay under the same licence as the original. Reusing the text alone, or an image as it is with its credit, requires nothing more.
- The external sources cited in the course, which remain with their publishers.
The open data
The corpora that feed this service are published under the CC BY 4.0 licence as well, one file per corpus.
/data/pieges.json: the catalogue of traps, 6 pages, each with its mechanism and its reflex./data/lexique.json: the 27 glossary words, each with what it changes and a worked example./data/sources.json: the 10 figures on the site, each with its public source and the date it was read./data/pays.json: the elements that change from one country to the next, such as the currency, the caps or the appeal authority./data/calculateurs.json: each calculator with its formula in plain language, the same one published on its page./data/impact.json: the numbers this site counts on itself, recounted at every release.
What we ask for, without requiring it
The licence sets one condition only: credit ODERSA. We ask for two further things, without imposing them.
- Do not transform a piece of content so as to make it say the opposite of what it says.
- If you find an error while reusing a piece of content, tell us on Report an error.
One word of warning
Reusing this content does not make you an ODERSA service. A reuse must never suggest a partnership with us, nor a public mandate.
That point matters particularly here: “financial education” is a generic term, also used by national public programmes. Anyone who comes across one of our texts elsewhere has to be able to tell, without effort, a reuse of our work from an official state scheme.
The legal documents
This page does not replace the association’s legal notice or privacy policy: those live at odersa.org/mentions-legales and odersa.org/confidentialite. No legal page exists on this site: that is a rule of the house.
The Credits page sets out who writes, illustrates and checks this service. The For organisations page explains how to reuse it in a workshop, a classroom or a drop-in service.
